Dr. Michael Hofer has been working at the Fraunhofer IGB’s Straubing branch since 2010. He began his career as a research associate focusing on enzyme development projects. Hofer held various positions at the site before taking over as director in Straubing in 2019. He has served as the IGB’s administrative director since March 2026.
