Methanol Technology and Policy Commercial Congress

BioCat presents carbon dioxide conversion process at specialist congress

Fraunhofer IGB News /

On the invitation of Methanol Market Services Asia, BioCat – the Straubing branch of Fraunhofer IGB – presented a newly developed innovative process for the conversion of carbon dioxide into valuable products at the Methanol Technology and Policy Commercial Congress.

This process opens up the way for obtaining monomers, polymers or fuels in only two steps and via only one intermediate. The process has the potential to be run at low operational- and capital expenditures. Thereby, the process can play an important role in the decentralized CO2-valorization and energy storage solutions of the near future.

The Methanol Technology and Policy Commercial Congress took place in Frankfurt am Main between Nov. 29. and Dec. 1, 2016.
